Raleigh has an amazing parks system, like the one pictured above the Historic Yates Mill County Park. Other great parks of note include Lake parks such as Shelley Lake and Lake Wheeler. Pullen Park is the oldest park in North Carolina-famous for its amusement rides and paddle boats. Dix Park at 308 acres adjacent to downtown will feature so many great opportunities for recreation.
